Alternate Advancement (AA) is a type of progression system in certain MMORPGs that allow players to customize their characters. Having too many AAPoints can potentially make your character weaker since they will not have access to new skills or abilities compared to other players who may have fewer points but still possess powerful abilities because of how they chose where they allocated them. Additionally, having too many AAPoints can mean that it takes longer to increase your character's level since gaining more points requires you complete tasks with greater difficulty.

Generally speaking, no; there is no limit on how many AApoints you can earn while playing an MMORPG; however each individual game may have certain limits in place on how many AApoints you can earn per hour/day/week etc., depending on its design and structure.
