What does SAMS mean in MATHEMATICS

The Summer Academy for Mathematics and Science (SAMS) is an enrichment program for students of all ages. It offers a wide variety of opportunities including hands-on science and math activities, field trips to local museums and research facilities, and lectures from STEM professionals.

SAMS is designed to provide a challenge and an opportunity for learning and enrichment for students who are interested in pursuing mathematics or the sciences. Students in elementary through high school who have a curiosity about the STEM fields would benefit most from this program.

If classes are held at an approved facility such as a university, snacks may be available but students are responsible for their own meals during breaks or lunch times. Students attending virtually will need to arrange their own meal plans since no food options are provided online.

Homework assignments are not required but may be given if desired by the instructor in order to reinforce concepts learned during class time. These assignments tend to be short and can serve as handy study recommendations for upcoming tests or exams.
