What does SAIC mean in SOCIETIES

Background

Clinical research is a field of medicine dedicated to finding new treatments, diagnostics and preventive measures for disease prevention and management. As such, it is essential not only for medical progress but also for maintaining public health around the world. The SAIC was founded in 2000 with the goal of serving as a platform for medical professionals from different disciplines to come together and discuss their work, provide support to each other’s research projects as well as collaborate on larger scientific endeavours. The society now consists of more than 400 members who actively engage in high-quality clinical research initiatives within Argentina.

Objectives

The main objectives of the SAIC are twofold; firstly, it seeks to promote transparency within the industry so that authorities can track any possible violations or discrepancies conducted by parties involved in clinical trials. Additionally, members receive training on various aspects such as how to conduct a trial ethically and safely as well as interpret results accurately.
