What does RRP mean in RAILROADS

Regional Rail Partners (RRP) is an organization that works to provide high-quality public transportation to underserved communities in the region. Our mission is to connect people with better access to jobs, education and recreation opportunities. We also strive to provide safe, reliable and affordable services for our customers.

RRP works with regional partners such as local transit agencies and other stakeholders to ensure that quality public transportation is available throughout the region. This includes improving existing infrastructure, increasing service reliability, and expanding access to public transit options. Through these efforts we hope to make traveling a smoother, more enjoyable experience for our customers.

RRP’s primary purpose is coordinating regional rail initiatives which include bus rapid transit (BRT), light rail, streetcar and commuter rail projects. Additionally, we work with other organizations on advocacy initiatives aimed at improving public transit in the region such as incentivizing employers to provide pre-tax benefits for transit ridership and supporting innovative fare policies like all-day passes or metro card fares.
