What We Do
At RDIC we work around the clock to build a better future for all Cambodians. Our work focuses on health care, education, economic empowerment and human rights protection for people living in rural areas throughout the country. We strive to provide quality services and support by providing training programs and workshops that help equip people with the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to tackle their daily struggles and lead better lives. Additionally, we strive to improve access to education by implementing innovative technologies such as mobile learning platforms in remote parts of the country where educational materials and resources are scarce. We also prioritize empowering people living in poverty through our various enterprise initiatives which aim to create jobs and increase earning potentials for individuals and their families. This includes offering vocational training courses that give job seekers an opportunity to learn important skills such as welding or plumbing which can eventually open up job opportunities both locally and internationally. Furthermore, we believe that it's essential that everyone has access to their fundamental human rights. To do this we collaborate closely with local organizations who are passionate about fighting inequality, discrimination and injustice within Cambodian society. Our efforts towards achieving gender equality include setting up safe spaces for victims of gender-based violence so they can openly share their stories without fear of judgement or retaliation. We also advocate for educational opportunities regardless of gender orientation as well as advocating for equal pay between sexes working in the same fields.
