What does RDF mean in NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS

RDF works to create sustainable economic and social development in rural areas around the world through capacity building, community engagement, mentorship, advocacy and research. They work in partnership with community members, grassroots organizations and governments to ensure lasting change for rural communities. Through their initiatives they aim to promote self-reliance in local communities by providing skills training, educational opportunities and access to affordable services.

RDF has a global presence with programs running in Africa, Asia and Latin America. In 2020 they expanded their reach into Eastern Europe with additional operations being planned for India later this year.

The Rural Development Foundation has been working since its inception in 1969. Since then it has worked tirelessly to improve the lives of countless rural people around the world through its various initiatives such as capacity building, research, advocacy and education among others.

Some of RDF's most successful projects have focused on innovative ways of increasing access to safe water and proper sanitation for remote communities; empowering women economically through cooperatives and enterprise development; rebuilding livelihoods after disasters; improving access to healthcare for vulnerable populations; providing food security solutions; developing agroforestry practices; promoting environmental awareness through waste management systems; and strengthening local infrastructure such as roads, bridges and schools.
