Raytheon Analysis Test Laboratory (RATL) is a research, development, and engineering environment dedicated to the advancement of sensors and systems for defense applications. RATL offers advanced tools, expert analysis capabilities, and innovative approaches to meet the most demanding customer requirements.

RATL provides research, development, engineering and analysis services for defense related sensors and systems. Services range from feasibility studies to system design & integration; from prototype hardware development to complex systems testing; from data analysis to software development.

RATL advances sensors and systems through collaborative activities such as modeling & simulation, intelligent algorithm investigations, sensor & data fusion studies, state-of-the-art signal processing techniques, flight test/ground test activities, as well as standard verification & validation processes.

RATL consists of an integrated network of several advanced research labs located across the United States. Each lab offers unique capabilities ranging from countsense detection using lasers or MEMS technology; from computing architectures using reconfigurable devices; to FPGA based electronic systems protection.

RATL specializes in multiple domains such as defense system engineering, radar systems engineering services such as GPS receivers testing and evaluation; radio frequency testing support including guidance system simulator operations; electronic warfare targets communication protocols evaluation; etc.

At RATL we use a broad variety of technologies from embedded processors (including ARM processors) and DSPs (including ADSP21364/SHARC) to COTS components such as FPGAs (including Altera Stratix II), power amplifiers (such as AMFETs), high frequency (up to 10 GHz) oscilloscopes(such as Tektronix 577xx series)and spectrum analyzers(such as Rohde & Schwarz ESSA).
