What does QOK mean in FUNNIES

Queen-Of-Kinpun is a Japanese traditional dance and music performance arts troupe. The group was formed in 2014 by the top maiko, geisha, and performing arts practitioners from Kyoto's Gion district. They perform a mix of traditional Japanese dances as well as contemporary pieces, incorporating aspects of theater, mime, and acrobatics into their performances.

Queen-Of-Kinpun puts on its performances with passion and spirit. The group draws on over 400 years of performance history that is iconic to the Gion District in Kyoto. Its members have trained extensively in a variety of styles including noh, kabuki, modern dance, jazz, ballet, and acrobatics.

You can watch a live performance either at one of their shows in Japan or through streaming services online. If you are located outside of Japan then you can also purchase tickets for their international tours which are held around once per year.

Queen-of-Kinpun first debuted at "Matsuri Taiko Festival" played at Ennichi Market Street in Kyoto Prefecture back on April 12th 2014. Since then they have become an internationally recognized name playing on stages across countries such as USA, France and Dubai.

Traditional drums such as the Taiko drums featured prominently during performances alongside several other musical instruments including shamisen (a three stringed instrument), flutes (shinobue) and Koto (Japanese harp). Additionally the troupe sometimes uses vocalists to chant various traditional songs associated with festivals or special occasions like weddings.
