History

QHV was founded in 2003 by four brothers, who were passionate about wine making and wanted to produce high quality wines for the local community. They started off by planting sixteen acres of vines in 2004, focusing primarily on red grape varieties, such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cab Franc, Petite Sirah and Pinot Noir. Since then, they have expanded their selection to include white grapes such as Riesling and Chardonnay, as well as other popular varietals like Syrah and Viognier. Over the years, their passion and hard work has earned them various awards for both their table wines, rosés and dessert wines.

Production Process

The process for producing QHV’s wines starts in the vineyards where meticulous viticulture practices are employed to ensure that only the best grapes are harvested when they reach maturity each season. After harvesting takes place, the grapes go through a cold soak fermentation process which brings out more flavor compounds from each variety as well as helps smooth out tannin levels before aging begins in oak barrels or stainless steel tanks depending on the varietal being produced. Finally each wine receives quality control checks before it is bottled up ready for sale and consumption.
