What does PPT mean in GENERAL

PPT stands for Planning and Placement Team. It is a group of professionals that work together to identify and serve the needs of students with disabilities in educational settings. The team is usually comprised of a school psychologist, parent/guardian, teacher(s), administrator, and other specialists.

The main focus of the PPT is to develop an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) for each student with special needs that reflects their individual disability, strengths, and areas of need. This also includes evaluating the student's progress toward reaching educational goals as well as addressing any behavioral issues or changes needed in order for them to be successful in school.
