What does PMAP mean in MANAGEMENT

The People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) is a non-profit, professional organization that was established in 1976 to serve as an advocate for human resource management and people development in the country. It acts as an umbrella organization that brings together various organizations and individuals with vested interest in people management, training, and development. PMAP also promotes HR excellence through certification, accreditation, and recognition.

PMAP provides a variety of programs and services geared towards helping HR professionals advance their careers and stay up to date with industry trends. These include conferences and seminars on timely topics, research initiatives that explore modern issues in HR, publications such as its annual journal “People Power” which highlights best practices in managing people, certifications for HR practitioners and organizational HR departments, company visits to top companies in the Philipppine market, career fairs for job seekers among many other activities.

To become an individual member of PMAP you must possess a minimum qualification of bachelor's degree plus three years experience in human resources or related field; or five years experience without a degree in human resources or related field. In order to avail any one of the certifications offered by PMAP you must first undergo evaluation including review of work experiences submitted upon registration Additionally there will be workshop sessions or webinars if required based on each certification level which you need to attend before taking examination. PMAP organizes various types of events such as training sessions, business summits and networking events throughout the year. Yes, each individual membership will require renewal every two calendar years from date last registered (for Student Members each academic school year). Thereafter it requires continuous renewal every subsequent two calendar years (or one academic school year) until revoked based on provisions stated on Membership Form and Policies.
