What does AT mean in MILITARY

Army Transformation (AT) is a term used to describe the changes taking place in the US Army over the past two decades. This transformation is designed to create an agile, flexible and technologically advanced army equipped to meet the evolving challenges of modern warfare.

The key components of AT include reorganizing business practices, operational principles, and technological capabilities for better efficacy and efficiency. Additionally, AT focuses on restructuring organization levels, creating expeditionary forces, adopting network centric operations among other measures.

AT enables soldiers to plan, execute tasks faster and more efficiently while operating in potentially dangerous environments with greater situational awareness than ever before. Furthermore, advances in technology such as artificial intelligence systems give commanders real-time data to make informed decisions on how best to prepare their troops for battle as well as ensuring their safety during combat missions.

Examples include unmanned robots that can be controlled remotely or without human intervention, new fighter jets that can detect threats long before they become visible on radar screens and updated armoured vehicles designed specifically for urban terrain combat situations.

The Deputy Chief of Staff G-8 leads AT initiatives within the US Army with overall direction provided by Congress. The goal of this initiative is for military leaders and personnel to work together towards enhancing American warfighting efforts through increased readiness and modernization.
