What does PCF mean in HOSPITALS

Prototype Carbon Fund (PCF) is a not-for-profit organization that funds low-carbon projects across the world. PCF supports projects such as renewable energy, energy efficiency, sustainable transport, and other innovative solutions that reduce emissions while also creating positive economic and social impacts.

PCF helps to reduce global greenhouse gas emissions by providing capital for projects that move away from fossil fuels and towards low-carbon solutions. By investing in these types of initiatives, PCF contributes to global efforts to reduce greenhouse gases and ultimately mitigate the impacts of climate change.

PCF funds projects that focus on renewable energy, energy efficiency, sustainable transport, carbon markets and other activities that create tangible CO2 reductions. These include but are not limited to biodigesters, solar systems, wind turbines, electric charging infrastructure, waste management systems and even green building retrofits.

To be eligible for funding from PCF applicants have to submit an application along with supporting documents such as detailed project plans or budget proposals. The selection process is competitive and seeks to find the most effective and innovative solutions to reducing carbon emissions while also considering their potential long term impact on the environment and local communities.

Yes - all applications must specify the amount of funding requested - usually around $250K USD per project - but we will consider each application on its own merits depending on price competitiveness of bids received. In some cases we may provide additional funds if needed or if special circumstances exist.

Yes - we accept applications from any organization located anywhere in the world provided it meets our criteria regarding environmental performance and sustainability objectives.

Applications generally take around two weeks from submission date until results are received by applicant organisations however this timeline could vary due to volume of applications or resource availability so please allow plenty of time prior applying when possible.

After a grant is approved by us, we will send out a formal agreement outlining the proposal details between yourselves, us & any 3rd parties who may be involved in your project.We will then support you throughout your project lifecycle with regular follow up evaluations & progress reports. Where necessary, we may provide additional funds if needed or if special circumstances exist.

We look at many different factors when evaluating each proposal including but not limited ot : Environmental impact, cost effectiveness, innovativeness & scalability. All proposals have to demonstrate methods which minimise or eliminate environmental harm or provide opportunities for green economic development.
