The Ohio Veterans Home (OVH) is a veterans residential community providing quality care and supportive services for United States veterans. Located in Sandusky, OH, the OVH offers short-term and long-term healthcare, physical therapy, social and recreational activities, recreation areas, and much more for those they serve.

The OVH provides comprehensive medical care inclusive of primary health care; nursing home services; assisted living accommodations; physical rehabilitation services; hospice care; respite services; home health services; and many other residential care options tailored to meet the individual needs of our residents.

Eligibility is based on service during wartime or for disability rated due to service connected illness or injury. All applicants must be veterans who have been honorably discharged from active duty. Proof of eligibility must be provided by furnishing a copy of military discharge papers (Form DD214). Upon completion of an initial online application, additional paperwork may be needed to determine eligibility according to federal standards.
