What does OTR mean in THERAPY

An occupational therapist is a health care professional who helps individuals of all ages with physical or mental impairments as well as developmental delays achieve greater independence in their daily life activities. They provide practical support and therapeutic interventions that focuses on helping people reach their maximum potential in day-to-day activities.

OTRs provide personalized assessments and treatments for clients depending on their needs. Services provided include evaluation of workplace environments, adaptive equipment training, cognitive rehabilitation, home safety assessments and interventions, group therapy programs, hand splints/orthoses fabrication and many other things depending on the client's needs.
