What does ODS mean in SOCIETIES

The Oregon Dressage Society (ODS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was founded in 1976 to promote the art of dressage. As the region’s only USDF group member, ODS provides an inclusive environment for all dressage enthusiasts and hosts numerous events throughout the year.

ODS provides a variety of services to its members, including educational clinics on dressage techniques, organized competitions and shows, newsletters with informative articles, as well as membership discounts to affiliated organizations.

Any person who has a passion for dressage or wants to learn more about it can become a member of the Oregon Dressage Society. There are no age limits or other requirements for membership – just an enthusiasm for equestrian sports!

Joining ODS is easy! Simply fill out and submit an online membership application form at our website along with payment information if applicable. Once complete, your application will be processed within 1-2 weeks and you will have access to all of ODS’s benefits and services.

The ODS holds regular monthly events from April through October each year that include coaching classes, practice competitions and shows. Additionally, we host regional championships twice per year and special workshops in addition to our regular schedule.

Depending on the event type, different levels may be required; however, most ODS shows include Introductory Level tests which allow even novice riders to gain confidence while competing against their peers.

Yes! All scores from our shows are reported directly to USDF after each event so that competitors can potentially qualify for national awards or higher levels.

Absolutely; however you must also ensure that you have fulfilled all other criteria such as submitting scores from four rides in cited tests during the qualifying period outlined by USDF before you can receive PAP points.
