Description
The mission of Olds College Student Association is to enhance the overall college experience by developing creative programs; advocating student rights; and supporting diverse clubs, societies, organizations and initiatives that promote social responsibility, volunteerism, appreciation of diversity and community interest. The organization consists of a board of directors that includes elected executive members (President, VP Internal Affairs & Activities, VP External Affairs & Communications - the Executive Team), appointed student representatives from each program along with multiple committees consisting primarily of volunteers. These volunteers plan events such as Cultural Night where all different cultures are celebrated through food and performances; as well as Orientation Week/Day activities for first year students at the start of every academic year. In order to better serve its members' needs, OCSA also operates a small convenience store which sells snacks as well textbook exchange initiatives.
