What does NVG mean in MILITARY

NVGs use specialized technology that amplifies available light, such as starlight and moonlight, and displays it in a way that is suitable for human vision. The technology intensifies the light many thousand times allowing the wearer to see better in low-light conditions.

NVGs can be used for both military and recreational activities. Military personnel such as Navy SEALs often use them while they're on covert missions or patrolling in dark conditions. They may also be used recreationally by outdoor hobbyists interested in wildlife observation or night photography.

The power level of NVGs depends on the model. Consumer grade models generally amplify ambient light only 3-5 times whereas professional grade models can amplify up to 1 million times.
