What does NUSU mean in STUDENTS

NUSU provides a wide variety of services for students such as mental health supports, student advocacy, academic advising, food banks, clubs and societies, professional development initiatives and much more.

There are many ways to get involved with the NUSU. You can join any of the clubs or societies offered by the union, become an elected student representative on campus committees or participate in advocacy campaigns initiated by the union. Alternatively, you could volunteer with one of their initiatives or join the executive team.

The Nipissing University Student Union runs various initiatives during the school year such as mental health awareness campaigns, orientation week events and professional development opportunities for members. Additionally they host movie screenings every Friday at 7pm in Dixon Hall and organize different social activities throughout the semester.

Yes! All full-time undergraduate students enrolled at Nipissing University are automatically covered under their collective health plan which is administered through Green Shield Canada. This plan covers extended health benefits up to 80% reimbursement on eligible medical expenses such as vision care, paramedical services and prescription drugs (subject to limits).
