History

The origins of Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University can be traced back to its establishment as Prince Narisara Nuvadtivongs's Institute of Agriculture and Technology on 28th January 1881. It was initially set up as a technical school to provide agricultural and technical education to young people from the local villages. After merging with other local schools, the institute was upgraded into an agricultural college in 1951, then into an Institute of Agricultural Science in 1962 before finally taking on its current name as Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University in 1989.
