What does ASA mean in SOCIETIES

The American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) is a medical association that serves to advance patient safety and advocacy in the field of anesthesiology. It promotes excellence in patient care through education, research and standards development. It provides professional support for its members and tools to help them improve their practice.

The annual dues depend on your practice setting and years since graduation from residency. For example, in 2020 dues ranged from around $295 dollars for residents with up to three years since completion of residency-training up to $556 dollars per year for independent practitioners with more than 15 years since graduation from residency training.
