What does NDMA mean in MANAGEMENT

The National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA) is a ministry of the Government of India responsible for disaster management. It is mandated to provide leadership, policy guidance and support to State Governments, Union Territories and other agencies involved in disaster management.

The NDMA strives to create a safer and more resilient India through proactive strategies, effective implementation of policies and professional expertise. It also coordinates global efforts to respond quickly in times of need and promote early recovery from disasters across the country.

The NDMA is led by an Executive Director appointed by the Prime Minister of India along with directors from different ministries in charge of Disaster Risk Reduction, Development Planning & Administration, Health & Family Welfare services etc.
