The organization holds regular monthly meetings at its headquarters in Yuba City (California) where members have the opportunity to socialize and learn more about radios as well as general networking topics related to computers and other digital devices. Additionally, members take part in various activities throughout the year including field trips, tech talks, grant requests, amateur license exams prep courses, circuit building classes, contests/awards presentations, etc.

What Packet Radio Communication Is

Packet radio communication refers to data transmission over amateur radio frequencies using computer-to-computer networks constructed specifically for this purpose.
