What does NCASP mean in AIRCRAFT & AVIATION

The main objective of NCASP is to ensure safe and secure transportation in civil aviation within India by setting high standards of security procedures. This includes ensuring compliance with international standards prescribed by International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) as well as domestic security requirements set by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).

NCASP implements a range of security measures at airports that passengers must comply with. These include screening passengers and their luggage before boarding aircrafts, inspecting cargo and baggage handling areas, restricting access to sensitive areas such as control towers and hangars, implementing effective communication systems between airports authorities and monitoring suspicious activity to detect any potential threats. Yes certain activities may be restricted or limited at some Indian Airports due to increased security levels set by NCASP guidelines. These would include activities that could potentially endanger passenger safety or jeopardize national security such as entering restricted areas without proper authorization or carrying prohibited items onboard aircrafts etc.

Depending on your destination/ airline you might have to undergo periodic security checks throughout your journey when travelling through an Indian Airport. Most international flights require the standard checks prior boarding while domestic flights follow the same procedure but may also require additional checks depending on their internal policies.

Yes there are restrictions for carrying liquids/ gels etc onto flights governed by NCASP guidelines. Liquids should not exceed 100ml per item and all containers should fit into a single transparent re-sealable plastic bag no larger than 1 litre capacity.

Taking photographs inside Indian Airports regulated by the NCASP requires permission from relevant authority in advance including approval for video filming or drone photography if needed; otherwise photography is strictly prohibited.
