What does N/A mean in MEDICAL

N/A stands for "Naturally Aspirated" which refers to the process of an engine's ability to take in and compress air.

In naturally aspirated engines, atmospheric pressure is used to push air into the combustion chamber allowing it to mix with fuel and burn efficiently. This type of engine does not require any external mechanical or electrical devices such as turbochargers or superchargers.

The primary advantage of a naturally aspirated engine is fuel economy since it requires less energy to run than forced induction engines. Additionally, these engines tend to have higher torque at low rpm ranges compared to their forced induction counterparts.

The main disadvantage of a naturally aspirated engine is its lack of power output at high rpm ranges due to its inability to produce more power with additional air being pushed into the combustion chambers. This can make them inefficient for certain applications such as drag racing or off-road activities that require quick acceleration or large amounts of power.

There are many ways you can increase your vehicle's performance with a naturally aspirated engine including improving intake efficiency, increasing compression ratio, optimizing camshaft profile, porting and polishing heads, upgrading exhaust headers and exhaust systems, tuning ECU settings, etc.
