MSSO stands for Medical Students And Sites Officer.

The MSSO is responsible for the oversight, management and coordination of a medical student's experience and placements at approved sites and institutions.

An individual applying to become an MSSO should have a minimum of three years of experience in clinical education or related field as well as post-secondary education in healthcare or related discipline.

Effective communication, organizational and problem-solving skills are all important qualities that any successful candidate needs in order to perform their job duties efficiently. Additionally, the individual should also possess knowledge about medical ethics and best practices for clinical placement supervision.

The primary responsibility of an MSSO is to ensure that medical students receive quality training at approved sites by properlycoordinating placements and monitoring student progress throughout their placements. They also work closely with Princial Investigators to ensure compliance with relevant regulations while also providing educational resources to help students succeed during their visits.
