What does AFF mean in FORUMS

The African Forest Forum (AFF) is an intergovernmental research and advocacy body that aims to create greater understanding of, and engagement with, forests in Africa. It works to support evidence-based policy making, mutual learning among stakeholders, and the development of local capacity for sustainable forest management.

AFF conducts research on forestry policies and practices, engages stakeholders in policy formulation on forest-related issues at national, regional and continental levels through workshops, conferences and field visits; provides information services such as newsletters; fosters partnerships to promote participatory forestry management; facilitates stakeholder dialogues on Africa's forestry challenges; convenes regional forums to discuss student projects related to forests; publishes reports with findings from field visits; maintains a website as a platform for sharing information on forest issues in Africa.

There are several ways to get involved with AFF's work including attending seminars/workshops organized by them or subscribing to their newsletter for updates about their activities.
