What does ADRA mean in NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS

ADRA's mission is to improve human well-being by responding to emergencies, developing long-term community projects, strengthening local organizations and increasing access to social services. They respond to natural disasters, provide relief aid and assist vulnerable populations in 125 countries around the world.

Although each project varies depending on the needs of the community or country, some examples of previous work include helping farmers increase crop yields, building schools in rural areas, providing agricultural training and access to clean water sources, and emergency relief during times of conflict or natural disaster.

ADRA raises money from private donations as well as grants from corporations and other donors. Additionally, they host fundraising events such as virtual walks or marathons where donors can make donations directly to projects and campaigns they wish to support.

ADRA's programming works toward improving human well-being by working with vulnerable individuals, families and communities in need throughout the world. This includes working with those affected by poverty, homelessness or lack of access to basic resources such as food or clean water.

ADRA's ultimate vision is to empower individuals and communities with “the capacity to identify and implement practical solutions for sustainable change” so that everyone has access resources needed for a better quality of life.
