What does MMTB mean in BANKING

MMTB stands for the Mid Michigan Time Bank. It is a grassroots organization that facilitates the exchange of goods and services in terms of time credits.

Anyone who lives in Mid Michigan! Membership is open to everyone, regardless of age, gender, race or religion. All you have to do is register your details on their website to get started.

Once you have registered as a member, you can start exchanging goods and services with other members in exchange for time credits. Each hour you spend providing a service earns you one credit which can then be used to purchase another service from another member.

When you have completed providing a service through the Time Bank, your client will need to use their online system to confirm that they have received your service. Once your client confirms this online, your account will be credited with one hour's worth of time credits which can then be used towards purchasing another service from another member.

Yes! It is important to remember that all transactions through the Time Bank must be done in good faith — no money should ever change hands between members during an exchange as this goes against the ethos of what the Time Bank stands for. The only acceptable form of payment for services provided through MMTB are time credits which are awarded once it has been confirmed that a service has been successfully provided by one member to another.
