What does MHCOP mean in HEALTHCARE

Yes - most multidisciplinary teams contain specialists in geriatrics who are trained to work with seniors to manage their mental health concerns effectively while taking into consideration their physical needs too. The team may also consist of general practitioners (GPs), nurses, occupational therapists (OTs) and psychologists amongst others.

You must first consult your GP who will assess your needs before deciding if specialist care should be recommended for you. If this is deemed necessary then your GP will refer you onto an appropriate service provider within the locality where you live so that they can provide expert advice and support tailored specifically to you.
