What does MESP mean in EDUCATIONAL

The Medical Education Scholars Program (MESP) is an initiative of the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC). It provides medical students and residents with the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the health care system through educational experiences and professional development.

MESP helps medical students and residents by providing them with educational opportunities such as seminars, workshops, webinars, and conferences. These experiences help them develop their knowledge on various topics related to health care. In addition, participants also receive mentorship from experienced professionals in different areas of medicine.

Students who are currently enrolled in AAMC-approved MD or DO programs, as well as medical residents who have completed their graduation requirements for MD or DO programs, are eligible to join MESP.

Some benefits associated with joining MESP include access to exclusive networking events; complimentary access to pertinent publications; discounts on travel expenses; discounted conference registration fees; and digital badges that demonstrate completion of certain activities within the program.

Participants have up to one year after their start date to complete all requirements necessary for their successful completion of the program. However, most participants are able to complete it between six and nine months.
