What does MEI mean in MATHEMATICS

Mathematics in Education and Industry (MEI) is a charity organization dedicated to providing quality mathematics education and promoting the use of mathematics in industry. MEI works with educators, industry professionals, parents, students, and advocates to ensure that everyone has access to quality mathematics education.

MEI works to provide resources and support for mathematics teachers, develop high-quality educational materials for mathematics learners of all ages, promote the importance of math in the workplace, and advocate for resources to ensure that all students have access to quality mathematics education.

Everyone can benefit from MEI! Mathematics educators can gain access to up-to-date curriculum materials and professional development; industry professionals can get help on how to utilize maths within their roles; parents can get advice on how they can best help their children learn maths; while students have access to interactive maths learning tools.

MEI provides a variety of online resources and activities for students such as interactive learning tools, videos explaining key concepts, practice tests for key topics, along with support articles on important application areas. Additionally, MEI organizes events such as competitions or workshops which encourage students to explore different aspects of maths.

We work collaboratively with schools across the UK as well as partner universities around the world by supporting them in their goals to deliver excellence in Mathematics teaching. We also engage with Employers throughout the UK helping them understand how they might better tap into talent from within the wider pool of potential Maths graduates available today.
