Through this program, students can complete their bachelor's degree at any one of the participating institutions, while enjoying an array of academic opportunities from across the alliance.

The MCA consists of Albion College, Alma College, Aquinas College, Calvin University, Hope College, Kalamazoo College, Madonna University, Siena Heights University, Spring Arbor University, University of Detroit Mercy, University of Michigan-Dearborn and Wayne State University.

What benefits will I receive as part of the MCA transfer program?

By enrolling in the MCA transfer program you will gain access to a network of diverse institutions with quality academic and extracurricular opportunities. You will also have access to elective courses not offered at your home institution and may benefit from lower tuition costs when transferring credits between schools. Additionally you may be eligible for unique internship opportunities available only through MCA-approved consortium sites.

Who can apply to the MCA Transfer Program?

Any student who is currently enrolled in one of the member institutions can apply to participate in our transfer program. Prior to transferring out or within the alliance all students must have completed at least thirty credit hours with a minimum GPA that is determined by their current school.

Is there a fee associated with joining the MCA Transfer Program?

No - There is no fee associated with participating in our transfer program. All fees associated with enrolling at another institution will be based on tuition rates specific to each school and financial aid options available for individual students.

Do credits earned through this program count toward my degree?

Absolutely! Credits earned through our intercampus transfer program are accepted at all twelve participating institutions and applied toward completion of your degree requirements wherever possible. The institution where you ultimately choose to complete your degree will make all final decisions about how your credits are applied towards graduation requirements after review and evaluation process has been completed.

How do I apply for admission into an institution within the MCA? Do I need to submit additional materials along with my application?

First you should contact member institution's Admissions Office directly or visit their website to learn more about their specific application process. What happens if I decide not to complete my degree at a different school after enrolling in this program?
