The mission of Miami Behavioral Health Center is to provide comprehensive, community-based mental health services to individuals and families while respecting their cultural beliefs and values. We strive to create a comfortable work environment that promotes ethical practices, facilitates respect for our clients, staff, and partners and emphasizes high standards of quality care.

Our mental health services include comprehensive outpatient counseling, psychiatric evaluations, medication management, crisis intervention and residential treatment for adults. We also provide community-based case management and family support services.

Yes! We accept most commercial insurance plans as well as Medicaid, Medicare and TRICARE. Most services require pre-authorization from insurance companies prior to service delivery. Yes, we have satellite offices located throughout South Florida including Coral Gables, North Miami Beach and Homestead where we provide the same comprehensive outpatient counseling services offered at our main office in Downtown Miami. Yes! In response to COVID-19, our providers now offer secure video conferencing sessions through a HIPAA compliant platform called “Zoom” so that individuals can continue to receive important mental health care without any interruption due to social distancing requirements in place across South Florida.

Yes! You can connect via computer (desktop/laptop) or mobile device (iOS devices such as iPhone & iPad or Android devices). Instructions on how to join a Zoom session will be provided by your clinician prior to your appointment time along with technical troubleshooting guidelines should you need assistance connecting.

Yes! Our clinicians utilize remote patient monitoring technology such as MoodMonitor by MedaCare which allows individuals undergoing treatment at our clinic to track their symptoms outside of therapy sessions via text message surveys sent directly from their clinician.

Yes! At MBHC we use electronic medical record software which allows individuals access secure portals where they can securely retrieve PDF versions of their medical records upon request.

Yes! MBHC periodically conducts research studies involving members of the public who are interested in participating in behavioral health research initiatives led by experienced clinical professionals locally and nationally.
