What does MBB mean in UNIVERSITIES

MBB stands for Mind/Brain/Behavior Interfaculty Initiative. It is a collaborative effort between Harvard University, MIT, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology that advances understanding of the interconnected elements of mind, brain, and behavior from biological, psychological, social, cultural and educational perspectives.

The goals of MBB are to understand how our environment influences our mental health and development; identify innovative ways to improve learning opportunities for all members of society; foster collaborations across agencies with different areas of expertise; develop resources to support research in these areas; and promote cross-cultural dialogue on issues related to these topics.

MBB involves faculty from Harvard University, MIT and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as well as researchers from other institutions around the world who are dedicated to understanding mind/brain/behavior relationships. Additionally, it includes students who focus on understanding interdisciplinary approaches aimed at improving education outcomes worldwide.

Through its interdisciplinary approach that draws upon insights from multiple fields such as neuroscience, psychology, sociology & anthropology among others - MBB conducts research on various topics including mental health disorders & treatments; early childhood development & interventions; educational technologies & advancements in learning; cognitive neuroscience & AI systems integration into healthcare delivery systems; theories concerning thinking & decision making processes among humans & other animals & more.
