What does MAHP mean in ASSOCIATIONS

The Michigan Association of Health Plans (MAHP) is a non-profit trade organization that represents and advocates on behalf of health plans operating in the state of Michigan. MAHP's goal is to ensure safe, quality, and affordable healthcare for all Michiganders.

MAHP advocates for solutions that improve the affordability, accessibility, and quality of health care in Michigan. This includes working with policy makers at federal and state levels to support legislation aimed at making health insurance more accessible and affordable. Organizations interested in joining the association must submit an application form available on our website along with annual dues payments depending upon membership type selected by applicant. There are several different types of membership including corporate health plan members, affiliate organization members who may not be subject to licensing but directly serve corporate health plan members or assist them in fulfilling operational needs such as utilization management or claims review services providers, service suppliers such as auditors or attorneys who serve corporate members or affiliated organizations directly providing operational services for corporatehealth plan operations subject only indirectly through contractual arrangements related primarily but not exclusively involving sale or purchase transactions etc., retail businesses offering certain benefit options available directly over the counter without enrollment through licensed providers etc.. Submission forms must be completed accurately providing all information requested along with applicable fees if approved before services become available available during processing period once form is accepted by association staff which may take up several weeks before being finalized depending upon complexity involved . Once accepted invitation will be issued which should be responded promptly within specified timeframe prior acceptance becomes invalid requiring re submission process start over.
