What does LRFA mean in ONCOLOGY

The Lymphoma Research Foundation of America (LRFA) is a national non-profit organization dedicated to finding cures for lymphoma and improving the quality of life for patients and their families. Through its network of leading researchers, clinicians and patient advocates, LRFA drives research with the highest potential to cure lymphatic cancers and has proudly invested more than $50 million in this cause since its founding in 1998.

The LRFA provides a wide range of services to help people living with or affected by lymphoma. These include providing information about current treatments, clinical trials, support groups, financial resources, educational opportunities, patient advocates and advocacy efforts. We also provide personal guidance from medical experts and a strong community of support through our patient forums, caregiver programs and fundraising events.

Yes! The LRFA has dedicated itself to investing in research initiatives that have great potential to find effective treatments for all forms of lymphomas. To date, we have granted more than $50 million in competitive grants to over 800 investigators conducting cutting-edge research at leading universities across the country.

Yes. The LRF Financial Aid Program assists qualified individuals who are facing serious economic hardship due to their involvement in fighting lymphoma. Qualifying individuals may receive up to $1000 per calendar year from available funds depending on individual need and availability of resources.

We provide online education materials including webinars, fact sheets and other interactive resources about how to navigate your cancer journey as well as connect you with local organizations or health care providers who can help answer specific questions you may have regarding your diagnosis or treatment plan. In addition, we host educational symposiums throughout the year where you can learn more about new developments in diagnostics testing techniques and treatments options for lymphoma patients.

Absolutely! One key part of our mission is giving those impacted by lymphomas a supportive platform where they can connect with other members who are managing similar experiences alongside them. We offer virtual one-to-one support as well as regional meetings/events where members can build connections with others living with or caring for someone affected by cancer while learning more about new treatments or technologies available which may reduce symptoms or improve quality care.
