A lung lobe is a distinct portion of the human lung that is divided into 3 primary components — superior, middle and inferior parts. The superior part of each lung is called an upper lobe (UL), the middle part is referred to as a middle lobe (ML) and the last one being the lowest part of each lung which is known as a lower lobe (LL).
