Plot

The story of La Femme Nikita follows protagonist Nikita who was trained as an assassin by a clandestine government agency called Section One. After she fakes her death during one of her missions, she escapes from Section One's control and attempts to build a new life for herself under another name; Michael Samuelle. Despite her best efforts to keep her identity secret, however, she eventually discovers that Section One is still tracking her every move and will stop at nothing to bring her back into their fold. As the show progresses, so do Nikita's skills as an agent; while she learns more about Section One's motives and secrets, she develops a close relationship with fellow agents Michael Samuels and Operations Director Paul Ballard. Together they must take on increasingly dangerous missions against powerful enemies in order to protect freedom around the world.
