What Does LBI Stand For?

LBI stands for Lost Boys International. It is an organization that provides care and support to young refugees from the Democratic Republic of Congo who have experienced war trauma. This organization works closely with their regional partners across the globe to ensure that all youth receive quality education, vocational training, and psychosocial care services to help them grow into successful adults in their communities. In addition to working directly with youth, they are also involved in advocacy work to protect refugee rights and create positive change in countries affected by conflict and crisis.

Mission & Objectives

The mission of Lost Boys International is “to empower children and young people who are refugees from conflict-affected countries with a focus on those from Africa”. As part of this mission, their objectives include providing quality education, healthcare services, psychosocial support and employment opportunities to refugee youth all over the world; conducting specialised research on refugee protection access issues; participating in advocacy initiatives around refugee rights; and building long-term community partnerships for sustainable development projects. All of these activities are designed to help refugee youth build safe lives where they can lead fulfilling futures no matter where they end up in the world.
