Mission Statement
LAC’s mission is simple – to promote physical fitness through swimming instruction, competition, education and camaraderie. Our goal is to provide our members with an opportunity to develop their skills in the sport of competitive swimming from novice swimmer all the way up to nation level competitor. In doing so we strive to foster an environment that encourages each individual's growth and personal development both inside and outside of the pool.
Programs
The Lakeside Aquatic Club offers a variety of programs designed for both recreational swimmers as well as those looking to stay competitive at higher levels. For beginner swimmers they offer classes including Learn-To-Swim, Pre-Competitive Training which prepares them for entering into competitive meet events, summer league teams that practice regularly throughout counties in Virginia, West Virginia and Maryland area for both youth & adult swimmers as well as private lessons available upon request at all locations. Those looking to stay at more competitive levels have access to year round Age Group Swim Teams (ages 8 & up), Senior Swim Teams (ages 13 & up) or Masters Swimming (ages 18 & over). All programs are designed with emphasis on proper technique, goal setting and individual performance improvement while offering a fun filled environment with camaraderie among its members.
