What does KOTA mean in THERAPY

The Kentucky Occupational Therapy Association (KOTA) is a not-for-profit, professional membership organization for occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants in the state of Kentucky. It provides leadership, development, and support for its members in their pursuit of excellence in practice, education, research, and service.

Membership with KOTA offers a variety of benefits for occupational therapists and assistants. Benefits include access to member discounts on continuing education courses; networking with other members at local meetings; access to state licensure information; advocacy updates on relevant health care legislation; online access to practice resources; and much more.

Your KOTA membership includes many great benefits including discounts on continuing education offerings, unlimited access to all publications, online access to practice resources, networking opportunities with other members at local events & meetings as well as advocacy updates on relevant health care legislation impacting our profession.

Annual membership fees vary depending upon your level of involvement with the association. Membership dues are discounted for students and recent graduates of an accredited OT/OTA educational program as well as retired individuals who have held active membership during the past three consecutive years. Additional fees may apply if you need to renew your existing license or obtain a non-resident license through KOTA.

All memberships expire exactly one year from the date you joined or renewed your existing membership. You will receive reminders about when your membership comes up for renewal in order to stay connected with all the great benefits that come along with being part of this professional association!

Renewing your current KOTA membership can be done quickly and easily online via credit card payment or by mailing in a check with your completed renewal form found at www.kotaot.org/membership/. Once you have successfully renewed your membership, you will be able to take advantage of all the great benefits associated with being an active member!

Updating your contact information is easy - just log into your account using your email address and passcode here www.kotaot.org/login/. Once logged in you can update all areas related to contact information such as address, phone number(s), email address etcetera so that we can keep you up-to-date on all things related to KOTA!

You must be an active member before registering for any events hosted through the Kentucky Occupational Therapy Association (KOTA). However, non-members may attend open meeting sessions if they wish after receiving prior approval from the Executive Director or President via email [email protected] at least 48 hours before registration deadline.
