What does JUC mean in UNCLASSIFIED

The mission of JUC is to encourage young Catholics to engage in their faith and participate in initiatives that serve their local communities. JUC also looks to develop leadership skills through volunteer opportunities and social justice projects.

In order to join a local chapter of JUC, one must be a practicing Catholic between the ages of 18-35. Moreover, all members must adhere to the core values of the organization - charity, loyalty, respect and responsibility.

Through volunteering and other forms of service work, members have been involved with building schools within developing nations; teaching local children; working at homeless shelters; organizing food drives; leading educational workshops; facilitating prayer services — each of these activities carried out with an emphasis on forming “faithful leaders” within their respective communities.

By providing mentorship programs and strong support systems through its chapters all around the world, members will have access to resources necessary for personal growth as well as resources pertaining specifically to expanding leadership skills such as communication techniques and effective problem solving methods. Additionally, by taking part in various service projects throughout the year, members gain much needed experience in related fields while giving back and engaging with others through meaningful activities that build a greater sense of community among their peers.
