What is Judge James V. Riddel Boys and Girls?
Judge James V. Riddel Boys and Girls (JRBG) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing environment for young boys and girls in the community. Our goal is to help children realize their potential, build self-confidence, and become responsible citizens. JRBG serves youth ages 4 through 17 and is committed to providing quality care and educational opportunities to all of our members.
How do I get my child involved with the program?
Parents or legal guardians can apply for membership either online or in person at the administrative office located in Washington D.C. Once the application is complete, we will review it and see if your child meets the eligibility criteria. If so, then an intake meeting will be scheduled where additional information about your child's personality, goals, interests, etc., will be discussed further.
Is there a cost associated with participating in JRBG?
Yes, there is an annually paid membership fee based on family income that ranges from $20-$50 per year per child enrolled in our program. We also offer scholarships for those who qualify under certain financial circumstances.
What activities are offered through JRBG?
At JRBG we provide a wide variety of activities designed to meet each child’s needs in areas such as academics, mentorship/tutoring services, physical fitness programs, advocacy workshops and summer camps among many others!
How often does JRBG hold meetings?
Each chapter holds weekly meetings on Tuesday evenings from 6 PM - 7 PM during which members discuss current topics such as bullying prevention strategies or tips on how to handle difficult conversations with peers; we also discuss upcoming events and activities that will be taking place at JRBG chapters both regionally and nationally over the coming weeks/months.
What volunteer opportunities are available at JRBG?
We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds who are passionate about giving back to their local community by helping empower young boys & girls throughout their developmental journey! Volunteers can assist us in many ways including one-on-one mentoring sessions helping plan activities/events or fundraising initiatives among many other tasks that come up throughout the year.

Absolutely! Donations play an essential role in enabling us to continue providing high quality services & care each year – no matter how small every contribution goes a long way towards making sure that no youth gets left behind because of lack of resources! All donations made to our organization are tax deductible & you will receive an acknowledgement letter once the donation has been processed successfully.
Does JRBG provide mental health services?
Yes! In addition to social supports & activities for our youth members; we also provide counseling sessions as well as referrals for more specialized mental health services when necessary through our partnerships with various health providers across Washington Dc & surrounding areas.
