What kind of tournaments does JGA offer?
We offer both individual stroke play tournaments as well as team matches/scrambles ranging from 9-hole up to 54-hole events all across the country throughout the year. These tournaments are designed for juniors aged 12-18 but some tournaments are available for younger players also.
Do I need special equipment to participate in JGA events?
No special equipment is required to participate in our events! All participants must bring their own clubs but other than that, just wear comfortable clothing appropriate for playing golf such as collared shirts, slacks/capris/shorts (no denim). Hats should be worn facing forward or backward only; baseball caps should not be worn sideways or backwards visors.
Does JGA offer scholarships?
Yes, we are proud to provide financial assistance to families who meet certain criteria through our Player Development Program scholarships which allow players from underserved communities an opportunity to develop their abilities through tournament play and instruction at no cost to them.
