What does JDRF mean in NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS

There are multiple ways in which an individual can make a donation towards Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). This includes one-time donations, setting up a regular monthly donation, or attending/sponsoring a fundraising event. Alternatively, individuals can also become ambassadors or volunteers to spread awareness about JDRF and assist in fundraising activities.

JDRF funds multiple different types of research projects that range from Type 1 Diabetes clinical trials to increase access globally to best practices related interventions. We also focus on developing new technologies such as artificial pancreas systems and alternative treatments outside of insulin delivery. Lastly, we are actively working on initiatives that focus on the prevention of type 1 diabetes.

All our research projects ultimately have people living with type 1 diabetes as the beneficiaries. Through our efforts, we hope to decrease disease burden and improve quality of life while finding a cure for this chronic autoimmune condition. Everyone’s participation enables us and provides us with resources necessary towards achieving these goals.

Donations received by JDRF are carefully allocated towards research and development projects and other support services such as hosting educational talks and events, providing peer-support networks for individuals diagnosed with type 1 diabetes as well as their families, and providing information about current treatment options available. Your generous contribution goes toward making sure that those affected by type 1 diabetes get the support they need.

JDRF has a wide network of partners that form part of our collaborative effort in advancing progress towards finding a cure for type 1 diabetes while aiming at improving treatments even in the most underserved areas around the world. We partner both domestic and global companies across sectors ranging from patient health technologies field to multi-national pharmaceutical giants while engaging academic institutions such as universities at all levels of collaborations including funding opportunities for future generations’ researchers yet exploring similar topics.

You don't need prior experience nor special education background in order become a volunteer at Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). All you need is enthusiasm in wanting to help this cause!
