What does JAMP mean in MEDICAL

The Joint Admissions Medical Program (JAMP) is a special program for eligible Texas high school and undergraduate students who are interested in pursuing a medical career. This program provides academic, financial, and professional support to help prepare students for admission to Texas medical, dental, and veterinary schools.

Students must be current juniors through seniors in college who plan to attend a Texas medical, dental or veterinary school. Additionally, students must be citizens of the United States or hold permanent resident status in the U.S., have achieved at least a 3.75 cumulative grade point average on all coursework completed prior to enrollment in JAMP, have an MCAT (Medical College Admission Test) score of at least 26 on each section or have already taken the DAT (Dental Admissions Test) or VMCAT (Veterinary Medical College Admission Test).
