What does ISAP mean in STUDENTS

The International Student Ambassador Programme (ISAP) is an initiative established to provide international students with the opportunity to develop cross-cultural relationships and gain leadership experience. It seeks to foster global understanding among different cultural communities, cultures, countries and religions by providing a platform for international students to share their experiences and encourage intercultural understanding.

The purpose of ISAP is to create a global platform for international students so they can learn from each other, build lasting friendships and gain an understanding of different cultures through exchange programs and activities such as seminars, conferences, workshops and field trips.

To become an ISAP ambassador you need to complete an online application form available at the ISAP website. Additionally, you must demonstrate strong leadership potential, be able to communicate effectively in English and show a commitment to promoting international understanding.

As a student ambassador for the International Student Ambassador Programme you will be expected to promote intercultural dialogue in your local community through hosting clubs, events or fundraisers; attend conferences or networking events; mentor fellow students; participate in outreach activities; serve as a liaison between universities/institutions both domestically and internationally; report regularly on activities conducted; represent ISAP at external meetings etc.

The ambassadors are appointed for a period of one year which may be renewed depending on performance reviews.

Yes. Students accepted into the programme may be eligible for travel grants up to $1000 per year towards attending conferences/seminars/workshops related to ISAP principles. Furthermore, ambassadors are also eligible for special discounts on accommodation fees when travelling overseas.

All applicants must have documented proof that they are enrolled full-time in either undergraduate or graduate study programmes at recognised universities/institutions prior applying for this position. Additionally, applicants need to demonstrate strong leadership capabilities along with proficiency in written and spoken English language communications skills during interviews held by selection panel members comprising representatives from both academic institutions along with ISAP personnel.
