What does AN mean in CHEMISTRY

Ammonium Nitrate (AN) is an odorless, white crystalline solid composed of nitrogen and oxygen. It is highly soluble in water and has a variety of industrial uses including fertilizers, explosives, pyrotechnics and some consumer products.
