What does INSI mean in INTERNATIONAL

The International News Safety Institute (INSI) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the safety of journalists, media professionals and those engaged in freedom of information activities. It also provides support for victims of media violence and issues global research and guidance on best practice safety standards.

INSI offers a range of services designed to promote the safety of media personnel worldwide, including advice to news organizations on mitigating risks, a global database of expert contacts who can provide assistance in emergency situations, a free online training center for journalists, campaigns against impunity for attacks against media workers, advocacy on behalf of injured or missing journalists, and support for legal aid programmes and other initiatives.
